I have a client that is considering a carrier switch to save a little money (less than $200) but also gain some coverage. It's a home that's over 100 years old and when they first came to me 3 years ago (when they bought the home) it needed some repairs after inspection from her current carrier (Nationwide). They were completed and we've had no issues since then. This thought has never crossed my mind until this scenario; has anyone left a current policy overlapping with a new one during a carrier switch?
