Anyone know about the Farmers program? An agent will mentor you for 1 year and if you write 100k in that year they help you set up your own agency. I’m in Utah and if anyone knows anything good or bad it would be much appreciated. Thanks! All reactions:

Jeff Senigaglia All-star contributor Go in with both eyes open. If you get with an agent who has set up a great office with solid training and support, you will get good training. Before you sign on the dotted line, ask about their close ratios and retention and watch the interactions in the office.

Answer as Justin Sunshine Johnson posted to Insurance Soup™ Just had a client threaten that he is calling corporate to "shut the office down" because we canceled his home policy because he can't and he hasn't painted the fascia on his home. This client also is in the mortgage business who knows "alot about insurance coverages" can I please laugh my ass off about this? He was advised that this would happen and he thinks it's the office that did it lmao.. I really want to be sarcastic with this guy and let him know how ignorant he really is about insurance. Comment View more comments Dave Owens Follow I have a guy right now who is an attorney. A policy was issued contingent upon him clearing the brush up to 200 feet. He never did it. The company finally cancelled after about five months due to a material misrepresentation (that he would clear the brush). He is now saying that he was "illegally" cancelled by the company and sent this long 40 page letter (certified) to my office and my wholesale broker's office. Every time I tell him that all he needs to do is clear the brush and they'll be happy to reinstate, he dodges that particular issue. I think what happened was, he needed a loan, and he can't clear the brush because he doesn't have an easement.

Amanda Rogers Sykora I had one today who is calling his attorney because we mailed the policy and bill to the address we have on file and have used the last 4 years and he didn't get it and now if he doesn't have it taken care of by tomorrow they are going to cancel him. He kept telling me he can't be held responsible if he didn't get the bill. Umm yeah yeah ya can.
