At least the roof looks fairly new
I received an Acord cancellation form from another agent today. I am NOT one to fight it if an insured wants to cancel. HOWEVER: My company name on the form was incorrect: I represent AAA, they literally typed “Triple A”. (That irks me). Their agency name was NO WHERE on the form. I always put my agency name and address at the bottom left of the form…along with the NEW policy number and effective dates to show that a policy is replacing the one cancelling. This info was not included. Lastly, there were NO SIGNATURES anywhere on the form…not the insureds or the agent’s. WTAF? I emailed back and said I would not accept it without speaking directly to the insured. Borderline fraudulent, in my opinion. What say you? See less
Monroe No signature is invalid. Call the insured to ask if they want to cancel & proceed with your typical cancellation procedures. I’d definitely call because either they do want to cancel or they deserve to know someone is tampering with their information.
Edited Leyla Maruna I always laugh when I get ones with the insureds name and address in the bottom left. Like are we new here?
