Good morning, We are currently dealing with a common auto claim scenario I dread. Insured recently purchased a 2024 Chevy Silverado 2500 4x4 LTZ. With tax and license it was approx $97,000. Within 24 hours of owning it he hit a large buck. The pickup received front end damage including the frame. Claim does not qualify to be a total loss since the repair and salvage estimates total $78,000. The big issue is that the body shop needs authorization from the carrier to proceed.
