I watched a documentary on Hurricane Helene the other day and one of the statistics was only 7% of those affected in NC had coverage for the damage and it got me wondering why flood insurance isn't a conversation when "mudflow" is under flood insurance and those living in the mountains definitely are affected by that. The whole event is tragic but it did make me wonder if that is a known fact about mudflow and how it relates to flood insurance
