Tessa Lewis Ice can be helpful when it first starts and is initially very painful to temporarily relieve pain and reduce inflammation. I’ve seen people say it does help. RICE is used for injuries right at the beginning, but this is not for long term use and will not solve the issue. When you’re out of that acute phase, heat is for sure the best as it increases blood flow, relaxes the muscles and can help looses stiff/tight fascia and ligaments. Increased blood flow is vital for accelerated healing.
