If it is in their normal scope of operations and they have the customers car in for repair most garage policies would cover the loaner. The key is the person using the loaner has to have their car in for service
They're overcomplicating it. Why not use as one entity? Most carriers include that automatically for garage ops
I owned an auto repair shop for years. Most shop owners have their own vehicles registered to the business with rt tags. Then insure the vehicles through the shops policy. But the person who has the car on loan must have valid insurance on their car. Works like enterprise where if their is an accident it's on the drivers insurance policy
