What is standard practice when an insured is involved in an at fault accident when in a rental/loaner car? Does the insurance company pay out their portion and the insured is responsible for their deductible to the body shop/dealership/rental company or does the insurance pay out the whole portion and then the insured has to repay their deductible to the insurance company? I have never dealt with this and wasn't sure what normally is done.
Deitering Fortunately, I worked at Enterprise for many years and would love to answer this question. 1.) Pay the rental company your deductible. 2.) Collision from you own policy pays for the damages. 3.) Loss of use for the amount of days the car is at the shop and unable to be rented. 4.) Diminished value for the car now having an accident reported and won’t “flip” for as much as a car with 0 accident history. Normally, a huge payout and potentially a non renewal notice coming soon. So, if the rental is being used for vacation/short time frame, recommend the damn rental company’s insurance.

How can I get loss runs for a State Farm Home Policy? Is there an email or fax number? The agent isn't being very helpful.
Loss runs on a home?? Just run reports on a quote and you will get loss history.
Have the client ask for a Letter of Experience versus loss runs?
