Have a client with Coterie. Pressure washing business. Had a claim come up where the customer was performing work at a larger church (the church is also my client). A few weeks after the job was done, there were streaks in the windows where water seeped through the window seals. The purpose of my post is because Coterie excludes "property damage that the insured is working directly or indirectly if the property damage arises out of those operations." They have denied the claim due to the exclusion stated above, and because of the deterioration of the window seals. The church's insurance denied the claim stating it was a contractor issue. Just not sure I could've done anything different to cover this claim? Do most general liability policies have the exclusion stated above or am I just an idiot for writing with this company? I know a lot of pressure washing businesses are insured by coterie which I explained to the adjuster has me very concerned as they don't have a lot of "add on endorsements" like a lot of other "preferred" carriers have.
