From Contracting to L&H Insurance, Seeking Advice I’m pretty green in this industry so looking for some advice. I come from a contracting background. I was originally looking into commercial p&c but wound up getting licensed in L&H first due to slow starting income in p&c. My plan is to do L&H for a couple years to gain industry experience/build capital then pivot and start my own independent agency focused in a niche p&c space. I want to be expanding my knowledge of the p&c space (More specifically marine based risks) during my downtime over the next year in between calls and meetings. What plans of action, courses, videos, books, etc do y’all recommend? I’m happy to take any criticisms of my idea as well. I’m thick skinned and like to know where my plans have blind spots. If anyone has done anything similar i would love to hear about it! Thanks
