Backstory: this is a friend of mine. He comes into my office every couple of months and aggressively complains/vents. It’s not personal against me. But when you post this on fb, I take it personally. He may have redacted my name- but in my town, I AM Shelter insurance. This is my name and reputation. I am frank with him but also placate him to a degree because his attitude is so volatile. Tessa Lewis Ice can be helpful when it first starts and is initially very painful to temporarily relieve pain and reduce inflammation. I’ve seen people say it does help. RICE is used for injuries right at the beginning, but this is not for long term use and will not solve the issue. When you’re out of that acute phase, heat is for sure the best as it increases blood flow, relaxes the muscles and can help looses stiff/tight fascia and ligaments. Increased blood flow is vital for accelerated healing.
